Since 2015, Venezuela has been plunged into a major social, political and economic crisis. This has caused nearly 7.9 million people to flee the country in search of protection and a better life. Over 6.7 million of the displaced Venezuelans have found refuge in Latin American and Caribbean countries.
Thanks to Government of Canada funding through Global Affairs Canada and generous donations from the Canadian public, we could partner with the National Secretariat of Pastoral Social – Caritas Colombia (SNPS-CC) to implement three iterations of the Multisectoral response to the humanitarian crisis of Venezuelan migrants in Colombia project in 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
