Our commitment

Development and Peace ― Caritas Canada is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and compliance in all aspects of its work.

We prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone we work with in Canada and overseas, and we do not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment or exploitation.

To create an environment that excludes abuse, harassment and exploitation, we have implemented policies and mechanisms to prevent, report and address concerns.

In addition to our own Code of Conduct, we adhere to the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct of Caritas Internationalis; the Code of Ethics and Operational Standards of Cooperation Canada; the Ethics Code (see in French) of the Association québécoise des organismes de coopération internationale (AQOCI); and the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Disaster Relief.

How to report misconduct?

For any witness or victim of misconduct that may be related to the work of Development and Peace – Caritas Canada, we invite you to contact us by filling and submitting our online complaint form.

All complaints will be treated confidentially.
