Climate change is affecting the entire planet. But, as Pope Francis reminds us in Laudato Si’, countries in the Global South are affected more directly. In Nigeria, climate change and extractive industries are creating water scarcity, violence, and forced migration. To learn more about these challenges, and how Nigerians are engaging them, Development and Peace – Caritas Canada is pleased to welcome Nnimmo Bassey, director of the Home of Mother Earth Foundation in Nigeria, to Our Lady of Lourdes parish.
All are invited to attend for this opportunity to dialogue, learn, and express our solidarity with the people of Nigeria.
