By Nicolas Kalgora, regional coordinator for French-speaking maritime communities
Following the wonderful experience that our anglophone members had in Peru last summer, Development and Peace ― Caritas Canada (DPCC) is pleased to announce a second solidarity trip to the same country, this time for francophones.

The trip from July 3 to 18, 2026, will be to the Peruvian capital, Lima, and to Iquitos, a vibrant community in the Amazon jungle. People aged 18 and over who are involved with DPCC or have similar experiences and interests in social justice are invited to join us in visiting our partners in Peru!
The solidarity trip is an opportunity for members of the movement to meet our partners in the field, to better understand their work and to strengthen their commitment to social justice. This trip is also an excellent opportunity to discover a different reality and culture.
Spanish-French translation will be provided during the trip, which will include francophones from across Canada.
Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to live and share an enriching experience with DPCC veterans and newcomers from around the country!
