***An invitation from Kairos***

Join us June 12-15, 2025 for the G7 People’s Forum in Calgary at Ambrose University!
The People’s Forum will be a place where people – pilgrims and activists from around the world and across Canada – will connect for community, learning, prayer and action during the G7 period.

When: June 12-15, 2025

Where: Calgary, Ambrose University

Registration: Click on the button below.

We will gather in the lead up to the G7 Leaders’ Summit (June 15-17) when representatives of eight of the most powerful economies in the world gather outside Calgary to discuss matters and make decisions that affect people the world over. Prior to this, we, the people of the world, will discuss the world in which we want to live. We will share experiences, our visions, wisdom and solidarity. We will build, from the ground up, a Jubilee world – where slaves and the indentured are freed, debts are cancelled, and the land is returned and allowed to rest. A world where economic and ecological justice and decolonization are the norm, not the exception.

See the Canadian Ecumenical Jubilee 2025 initiative for more information on the year-long campaign.

Ambrose University will be the venue for most sessions. The event runs from the evening of Thursday, June 12 to the afternoon of Sunday, June 15. Highlights of the event will include an interfaith worship service hosted by the Calgary Interfaith Council, a visit to the outdoor medicine wheel on Stoney Nakoda land, hearing Indigenous and Global partner voices, training in the Jubilee 2025 – Turn Debt into Hope campaign, and a creative public action in the heart of Calgary.

All KAIROS members and KAIROS local and regional groups are encouraged to send representatives to this gathering for training that will support denominational and local implementation of the Jubilee campaign, as well as the KAIROS regional fall gatherings. Individuals are most welcome to participate. There are 200 spots; catch the Early Bird savings until May 4th. Registration closes May 25th.

Note: accommodations are not included in your registration. Participants need to make their own arrangements. Accommodation recommendations are available here.
