Caribbean Communities and Canada’s Mining Push
What’s the real impact of Canadian mining on communities in Haiti and the Dominican Republic?
Join us for a conversation with our Solidarity visitor Ary Régis and Leoncia Rammos (community leader, Nuevo Renacer Committee), two community leaders working on the frontlines of mining and environmental justice.
Hear their stories, ask questions, and explore how these issues connect to us here in Canada.
When: Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. ET
Where: in-person at the University of Ottawa | FSS Room 4012 (120 University Private, Ottawa)
