Join Development and Peace – Caritas Canada members as we respond to this call in our Parish and Diocesan communities.
Members, parishioners and those genuinely interested in the work of Development and Peace – Caritas Canada, are invited to join our Share Lent campaign workshop.
This year our campaign is in solidarity with Caritas Internationalis – Turn Debt into Hope. We are answering Pope Francis, calling on us to be “Pilgrims of Hope.” Echoing the Jubilee campaign of 2000, he asks us to “forgive the debts of countries that will never be able to repay them.” And he calls on all the Catholic faithful to journey towards Jubilee justice this year, by taking a stand to promote fairness in international debt relief amid the climate crisis.
Come and join us! This workshop will introduce you to our annual Lenten campaign Turn Debt into Hope.
You’ll leave with a good understanding of Development and Peace — Caritas Canada and our partners, of Jubilee 2025, and of the debt issue and its impact on the countries of the Global South.
