Hosted by the Peterborough Diocese and Development and Peace – Caritas Canada
Join us for a special Solidarity Mass in celebration of the Vatican’s Jubilee Day of the Poor, presided over by Bishop Miehm. This meaningful gathering invites our community to come together in prayer, reflection, and action for global solidarity and compassion.
When: Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Where: in-person at St. Joseph Church (127 Liberty St. South, Bowmanville)
Following Mass, all are welcome to a special guest presentation in the Parish Hall, hosted by members of St. Joseph Peterborough Diocesan Development & Peace – Caritas Canada.
Our guest speaker, Héctor A. Acero Ferrer, Director of Lifelong Learning at the Institute for Christian Studies (ICS) and Associate Director of the Centre for Philosophy, Religion, and Social Ethics, will offer inspiring insights on faith, justice, and solidarity.
A light lunch of soup, bread, and refreshments will be served.
Please also bring an item for the food bank or money offering for St. Vincent de Paul to be brought up at the Offertory.
Come share in this opportunity for community, learning, and hope as we live out the call to “love not in word, but in deed.”
