Mary Jo Leddy is a long-standing and well-respected Professor from the University of Toronto (Regis College and St Michael’s College).
She has a doctorate in Contemporary Philosophy. She is a renowned writer, activist, theologian, and a member of the Order of Canada. She is the founder of Romero House, a centre for refugees in Toronto.
She has been a prophetic voice for human rights for many years–a voice steeped in deep faith and hope. Mary Jo will speak about her latest book, Why Are We Here? Using scripture, literature, history, geography, and spirituality, she invites us to reflect on our place in Canada and Canada’s place in the world.
