Development and Peace – Caritas Canada invites you to an evening with Cardinal Pedro Barreto of Peru. He will talk on this topic and offer prayers on behalf of Our Common Home and all those oppressed by debt. Bring your questions. Be prepared to pray.
Cardinal Barreto is President of the Ecclesial Conference of the Amazon (CEAMA) and emeritus Archbishop of Huancayo, Peru. He was an organizer of the Pan-Amazonia Bishops Synod, and close with both Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV.
After his Toronto visit, he will travel to Calgary to deliver a challenge to the G7 (the leaders of the worlds 7 largest economies).
