Are you between 25 and 40 years old? Are you an active member of Development and Peace?
Do you want to have an unforgettable experience?
A Solidarity Tour is an opportunity for young adults to better understand the work of our partners in the South, and to reinforce your understanding and commitment to social justice. This tour is also an excellent opportunity to encounter a different reality and a different culture. Since 2010, the Solidarity Tour has been pan-Canadian and bilingual!

The plan for the solidarity tour:
- With our partners in Brazil and learn about their programs and projects
- Attend the Congress of the Pastoral Land Commission (CPT) in Marabá, in the state of Pará, Brazil. You will have the opportunity to meet with The Pan-Amazonian Ecumenical Network-Brazil (REPAM), Caritas-Brazil, and The Indigenous Missionary Council (CIMI).
- Learn more about Social Pastorals of the Brazilian Catholic Church, who demonstrate how faith guides social action and activism.
- Deliver the Solidarity Letter that thousands of Canadians have signed in support of land defenders in the Amazon.
If you want to better understand the work of our partners in the South, reinforce your motivation for social justice and solidarity, and get to know other members from across Canada, apply today!
