
Peterborough and Toronto Diocesan Councils invite you to a spiritual retreat “Walking the Path of Mino-Bimaadiziwin. Living the good life: Peace as Right Relationship” with Father Daryold Winkler.
Fr. Winkler is a priest with the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall, and he was a member of the Basilian Fathers for more than 20 years. He has Anishinaabe (Ojibway) ancestry.
When: Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: in-person at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 903 Giffard St., Whitby ON (shuttle available from the Whitby Go Train station).

The morning will be focused on peace and encountering peace as a right-relationship, rooted in the Gospel and illuminated by the Indigenous teaching of mino-bimaadiziwim. Through prayer and experiential reflection, we would explore how peace grows when justice, solidarity and community flourishing take root. The afternoon will allow for small group reflection based on the morning presentation and through experiential activities All are welcome to attend 5:00 p.m. Mass in the parish.
