Each year, Development and Peace — Caritas Canada does a fall action campaign highlighting a different global justice issue. 

This year, our Reaping our Rights campaign highlights peasant and rural communities in the Global South who care for the Earth and feed the world. Yet, their rights to land, water, seeds, food sovereignty and a clean environment are threatened by corporate interests, land grabbing, resource theft and climate change. 

Let’s ensure that such communities can live in dignity by asking Canada to adopt mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence legislation.
