| Reporting to the Director of the Department, and working in close collaboration with the Assistant Director, the Coordinators and the Animators of the other territories, the animator is responsible for implementing the education and fundraising programs, particularly the Share Lent campaign with both the members and the broader public (Dioceses : Calgary, Edmonton, St-Paul, Grouard-McLennan, Mackenzie). The animator represents the organization in a given region and is the basic link between the organization and its network of members. The animator's mandate includes recruitment, animation, training, and accompanying the members in his or her region. |
- University degree in social animation, education or the equivalent;
- Four years of relevant experience (animation);
- Experience in fundraising (asset);
- Work experience with volunteers;
- Command of written and oral French and English;
- Excellent knowledge of social justice issues in Canada;
- Excellent knowledge of the Church and its involvement with social justice and international development;
- Ability to drive a car (valid driving licence);
- Mastery of Microsoft Office XP (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Excellent public relations skills;
- Ability to organize an office and to administer a budget;
- Leadership and ability to work in team;
- Excellent judgment and good sense of analysis;
- Available to travel in Canada and abroad;
- Available for evening and weekend work.
